How much does an RV Inspection cost?
Walkthrough in a campground (How to Operate Your RV): $150
• How to hook up the utilities: water, power, septic, cable.
• The types of electrical power systems installed. Location and operations of the breakers and Ground Fault Circuit Interrupters. Information about the batteries, the converter, and the inverter, if equipped. Power management.
• Information about the water systems including the water filter.
• Information about the wastewater system management including the tanks.
• Propane systems including fridge, stove, furnace and water heater.
• How to deploy slides and awnings. Troubleshooting problems.
• How to operate the leveling systems.
• How to operate stabilizer systems
• How to operate the TV and entertainment systems.
• How to check for recalls.
• How to check the dates on tires, smoke, fire, propane and CO detectors.
Safety check: $350
This is not a premier inspection. It covers the items that are most likely to create a safety issue.
• VIN confirmation, checking marker lights and mirrors for proper operation.
• Checking proper installation, function, size and age of Fire Extinguishers, Smoke detectors, Carbon Monoxide detectors, Propane gas detector, Emergency exit window.
• Checking the date of the tires and replacement recommendations.
• Location and operations of the breakers and Ground Fault Circuit Interrupters.
• Checking the converter/inverter/batteries.
• Checking the fresh water and waste water systems including the tanks.
• Checking the propane system including refrigerator, furnace and water heater.
• Checking the slides and awnings.
• Checking the operation of the leveling or stabilizing systems.
• Checking the Tongue or King Pin overall condition; Supplemental hitching equipment (sway bars, weight-distributing hitch, etc.); Safety chains; Umbilical cord and connector; Breakaway switch and cable; Hitch receiver (on or under rear bumper); Trailer wiring harness and plug (for pulling toad or trailer behind RV)
